…and now, a blog post from my new computer!

today was a lovely, although absolutely FREEZING, Saturday! this afternoon i met up with Liz at the Union Square green market. she is doing a ten-day cleanse and eating super healthy, so i thought i’d jump on the bandwagon for the day and buy some organic veggies, as well. winter isn’t the best for produce obviously, but there was still some lovely fruits and vegetables and so i bought some cute fresh carrots and french fingerling potatoes.

oh hey, Liz!

later in the afternoon we walked over to city bakery to splurge on one of their huge cookies and went in a few stores looking for scarves and tights and things of the like. we walked past this guy, who is all blue for the NY Giants:

another huge highlight of the day was buying our new computer! my computer is super old and even more super terrible. clif’s computer is also getting to be in pretty bad shape, so we figured it was time to make the big jump into a Mac desktop. we could not be more excited!!! in fact, clif had it set up about ten seconds after we got home and spent the night downloading updates to our phones, face timing and syncing everything up. very excited - i am now blogging from it, too and cannot get over the fact that this screen is so super massive. you guys, it’s crazy!

the apple guy that helped us out tonight was awesome. his name was Jem, spelled like that, yes.. and he was a real gem (pun intended) with all our questions and cracking jokes and wanting to take a ton of pictures. so here are these, courtesy of the Lincoln Center Apple employee Jem. thanks, Buddy!

also, i am admitting to the fact now that i watched the Miss America pageant tonight. clif was hogging the computer anyway so what’s a girl supposed to do? every year the girls get skinner, the dresses get tackier and the talent is just plain terrible. that’s what makes it so fun, i think :)

tomorrow i am going ice skating with my friend Suzanne in the afternoon and then after church tomorrow night we’re having some friends up to eat cupcakes and watch the Golden Globe awards. Monday is MLK day with NO WORK and that just makes this a really spectacular weekend.

signing off for now from my new, massive mac desktop. bai!
